He also has extensive background and teaching experience as an arbitrator, mediator, lecturer, and discussion panelist. Ames is a former member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. He continues to serve in good standing for over 35 years on the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service's National Roster, American Arbitration Associations Commercial, Employment and Labor, National Arbitration and Mediation Panels. He is also a panel member on the California State Mediation & Conciliation Service Roster.
